Terms of Service
Last updated: October 20, 2026
By creating an account or using Bloom you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. "Bloom", "we" and "us" mean the team that runs the Bloom service.
1. What Bloom is
Bloom is an AI tutor. You tell it what you want to learn (a topic, your own materials or project files), and it uses an AI model to write a syllabus and lessons, answer your questions about the passages you highlight, and suggest what to learn next. Lessons and answers are generated by an AI model. They are meant to help you study and are not a substitute for a teacher, a textbook or professional advice.
2. Your account
You sign in with Google or GitHub. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in account secure. Please tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
3. Credits and payments
- Bloom bills AI generation and questions by actual token usage. Input, output and cached tokens use the model’s peak rates, multiplied by 3 and converted at 1 credit = CNY 0.01. A budget is reserved before an action; actual usage is settled on completion and unused funds are released. Details are available in Credits & billing.
- You can buy credits in packs on the Pricing page, where the price, the number of credits and how long they stay valid are shown. Credits that pass their validity period expire and can no longer be used. New accounts receive 2,000 credits when they sign up, valid for 365 days from sign-up.
- Failed server-side generation releases reserved credits. If you stop an answer, usage already incurred may still be charged. If the provider returns incomplete usage, the charge remains pending until verified, or is paid by Bloom and the hold released.
- Credits are a balance inside Bloom. They are not money and cannot be transferred to another account.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe), and its terms apply to the payment itself.
Refunds and cancellation
Credit packs are one-time purchases with no subscription or automatic renewal, so there is no recurring plan to cancel. To request a purchase refund, contact the support address below with your order number and the reason. We review duplicate or incorrect charges, credits that were not delivered, and unused credits on a case-by-case basis. Credits already used for successfully delivered AI services are generally not refundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Approved refunds return through the original payment method, and the corresponding purchased credits are removed. Returning credits after a failed generation is separate from refunding a payment. Your mandatory consumer rights are not affected.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload and write ("your content"). You allow us to store it, process it and show it back to you, and to send the parts that are needed to an AI model provider, so that we can run Bloom for you. You promise that you have the right to upload what you upload, for example because it is yours or you have permission, and that it does not break the law or anyone else’s rights.
Lessons that Bloom generates for you are provided for your own learning. Because they are generated by AI, other users may receive similar content.
5. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- upload content that is illegal or that you have no right to use;
- try to break, overload or probe the service, or get around its limits or credit charges;
- use automated means to create accounts or to generate content in bulk;
- resell or share your access in a way that avoids buying credits;
- use Bloom to harass or harm other people.
We may limit how often some actions can be used, for example creating courses from uploaded materials.
6. AI-generated content
AI can make mistakes. Lessons and answers may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Check anything important against reliable sources, especially before making health, legal, financial or safety decisions. Bloom is inspired by Benjamin Bloom’s 1984 research on one-on-one tutoring, but we make no promise that using Bloom will lead to any particular learning result.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Bloom running but cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, suspend or stop features, and change prices for future purchases.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using Bloom at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk.
9. Our responsibility
Bloom is provided as is, without promises about results or uninterrupted operation. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses that arise from your use of Bloom, including from relying on generated content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If you keep using Bloom after that, you accept the updated terms.
